Lombok- her beautiful abounding beaches that seemingly merge into this one place of endless bliss.
If you are looking for a place with waters as blue as the sky
If you are wanting to know what it’s like to have a beach all to yourself
There’s no other place than here and this is the place for you.
Hello you! Welcome to my blog! I do more recipes than I do travel post but once in a while I would be able to grab some days off school beg borrow and steal to hurry off to some island somewhere. This time, it’s her. Lombok ♥
I have to admit, at first I wasn’t all that sure about a holiday in Lombok. There were not many vlogs, few reviews and when they were reviews, they always talked about slow Wi-Fi was and there just were not a whole lot activities advertised. I was worried about running out of things to do.
But I couldn’t have been more surprised! When we got there, there were so many places we wanted to explore!
The first stop was Tanjung Aan Beach a five-minute ride from our homestay. It was the most beautiful beach with the cleanest and whitest sand, clearest waters and not a tourist in sight.
After lounging the sun, we decided to get up and going. We were looking to find other beautiful beaches down the same stretch of road, said to be more beautiful.
We rode till we came to this place, Gerupuk lombok ⇑ And met this man ⇓ who took us to go snorkeling & surfing
While the boat traveled further into the sea, we lost track of where we were going. First he took us to learn how to surf ( 1 1/2 hours). It was difficult at first but we managed to pick up the basics, learn how to balance, push off and finally we could ride the smaller waves! Yayyyyy!!!! I wasn’t able to take the Gopro along and didn’t get to take any photos :/
Soon after we were off again! Back on the boat off looking for a spot to snorkel at. Unfortunately, the sun was setting and there were not many spots where the sun was falling on. The water wasn’t all that clear so we thought of going back to Tanjung Ann but it was getting late. Anyways, we had many days ahead of us.
After a long day, we were so excited to get back, wash the sea off our skin and have a good dinner!
Notes to whom it may concern: he grazed his foot on some corals while we were surfing! Do be careful! Bring the basic medication, lots of bottled water, sun block, aloe, mosquito repellent and if possible, your own snorkelling gear. It would make a better trip!
Xx,
Sarah
